Well, another year of crappy cosplay and projects that I doubt I'll ever finish.

Getting myself a decent camera I hope to put some more happy snaps on here this year.

I have some simple cosplays lined up, including Wayward Vagabond from Homestuck and a steampunk cosplay. Might even try my hand at making a kigurumi.

Face ups for my ball jointed dolls will make an appearance, cross fingers I can work out how to use an airbrush to make things easier.

I'm doing a full-time contract at work for 6month... Being busy tends to make my brain go into overdrive with creative things to do. Im thinking lots of crayons and glue. I foresee my tablet getting a work out, too....

This is just the begining of Feb, though. Please don't expect me to stick to these plans xD I have the attention span of a dead cat so this could all change in a few days.

Is it weird to be more excited for SMASH than the convention that is literally tomorrow? Might be because of the cosplay i've planned for it.. Just doing Ranma-chan from Ranma 1/2 for Supanova day1 with my awesome brother getting lost as Ryoga and running around in my wonderfully warm kigurumi on day2. Unless I get off my ass and finish Cosmo.... Expect to see the kigurumi.

Okay, so Iv'e recently been converted into the BJD scene by the sexy and am impatiently awaiting my first doll to get here. I was thinking to myself as I watched and read countless tutorials and journals and youtube vids about modding dolls that it doesn't seem all that hard. Doing the face ups and restringing and such.
Looking around there seem to be plenty of BJDs that have been modeled on anime characters. In particular Kuroshitsuji. I've seen Grell, Sebastian and Ciel. But no Drocell Cainz. Sad face. BUT! I think I might rectify that!
This is more of a heads up than anything that I will probably start spamming the four of you with progress pics. I don't want to mod the doll I'm getting so I'm currently looking around for a blank head to tinker with. C:

Cosplaying as Ranma Saotome two cons in a row, i'm kind of getting used to the idea of having it as a backup costume for any time that my plans go wonky.. If I can find any pics floating around I might post them. Maybe... :/

I'm in a prop mood. Have been for a few days. Made me some poke-balls as tribute for the new games being released. What a funny coincidence that the day I get the game is also the day that I start becoming an insomniac. Even though I haven't watched it all, I have this urge to make the helmet from Elfen Lied. Don't ask me why.

Animania was fun, even with the neverending rain and the lack of sleep. It was a shame that there was very little to actually /do/ there and food was scarce. While Animania will have a special place in my heart as the first con I went to back in 2008 and the first real life experience with cosplayers, Supanova and Smash are now in the forefront for being the better conventions. Doesn't hurt that the guests for Supa. are going to be hella awesome..

I feel kind of bad that I haven't been spamming inboxes with deviations, so I thought i'd write some shtuff that's been going on lately...  An insight into my boring little world as it were.

Con season is upon us here in the land of Oz, beginning with the wonderful Armageddon Expo. It'll be my first time going to such an illustrious event and I have already fallen into bad cosplay habits of ordering wigs WAY too late. I still have my fingers crossed that they'll get here in time for the con, but if not... C'est la vie. Keep your eyes out for a shorty next to a Shizuo if your in the area. That'll be me and my brother. Damn his height. Coupled with a subconscious urge to scowl, its like he was born to be the blond bartender.

Last year I just went with the flow and only ended up doing an extremely bad Kingdom Hearts II cosplay. Once. This year I'm hoping to do a wider range than just one and I'll see if any pics won't make your eyes bleed if I post them up here.... Don't hold your breath there, folks.

Work wise, my feet are at the falling off stage, which will make me even shorter. But its money I can spend on shiny trinkets and manga... (138 and counting if you wanted to know..) I'm still doing a few wig requests, hoping to finish them off during the week.. I need to get them out of the house. Seeing them sitting there not finished is making me depressed.
